Himalayan WhiteHouse College of Law
Message from Principal

Anushka Bhattrai
Principal, HWCLAt HWCL, we started with a simple but strong idea — to build a law school where learning goes beyond the classroom and connects with real-world legal practice. We don’t just want our students to know the law. More importantly, we want to shape how they think, how they reason, and how they act — with clarity, purpose, and responsibility. Legal education, in our belief, should do more than teach rules. It should shape how students see the world, how they engage with challenges, and how they contribute to society. Our teaching is balanced. On one side, we provide strong legal theory. On the other, we give students practical exposure. Moreover, ethics is at the heart of everything we do.We encourage students not only to understand the law but to apply it with a strong moral compass. Therefore, we help them build both legal skill and character.
At HWCL, learning is active. Classrooms are spaces for questions, honest discussions, and hands-on experiences. We want students to think for themselves, explore different perspectives, and grow into confident professionals. We don’t offer shortcuts. Instead, we focus on helping students face real legal and social questions with maturity and insight. As Principal, I feel proud to lead a team of educators who are deeply committed to this mission. Together, we’re building a community where students are challenged, supported, and guided by values. Here, ambition walks hand in hand with responsibility.Law is not just a tool for power. In our view, it is a responsibility — a duty toward justice and fairness in society.
Thank you for taking time to get to know HWCL. Whether you’re a student, a parent, or a fellow professional, I warmly welcome you to be part of this journey.
